Microsoft NoDo update reaches

Microsoft helped kick off CTIA in earnest by posting the long promised NoDo update to phones that don't already have it preloaded. Phones like the Samsung Focus can now copy and paste text either by tapping a word and then dragging handlebars or else a tap-and-hold to bring up a menu. Pasting text is simple and uses an icon on the text suggestion bar to paste in.

NoDo further brings faster app load times and a better Windows Phone Marketplace with more refined searching and better stability during longer app downloads. Outlook can now better see photo attachments sent from an iPhone on a non-Exchange account. Other fixes give the phone's MAC address for Wi-Fi security and fix stability or syncing issues with audio, the camera, Facebook, and text messaging.

Some phones are already coming preloaded with the NoDo update, including the HTC Arrive for Sprint (pictured) and the HTC HD7s for AT&T.

Most of Microsoft's major feature updates are due with the Mango update due late this year. It brings an IE9-based web engine with HTML5, multitasking, and integration with Kinect games, among others.
