Core i3 and Core i5 options all under $1000

Toshiba's R800-series notebooks, which were detailed in recent reports, have finally been paired with prices and detailed specs. The company's website lists several R835 configurations, including an $889 option with Intel's Sandy Bridge Core i3 processor running at 2.1GHz. Moving up to $929 jumps to a Core i5 processor running at 2.3GHz.

All of the listed models integrate a 13.3-inch display, 4GB of DDR3 memory, 640GB hard drives, and integrated graphics. Other common features include USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output, and multi-touch trackpads, while WiMAX connectivity is available as an option.

Aside from the 13-inch models, the company is also planning to release 14- and 15.6-inch sizes. The larger offerings bring a stiffened resin case, while the smaller models are built around a magnesium alloy case.

The R835 listings likely arrived on Toshiba's website ahead of schedule. Prices for the larger notebooks and shipping dates for the entire range have yet to be confirmed. [via CNET and Engadget]
