Panasonic to show new pro camera at NAB?

At the upcoming NAB show, Panasonic may show a new semi-professional video camera, sources told EOSHD. Initially believed to the a successor to the company's Micro-Four Thirds AF100, the new camera may not replace it after all. The model number and main specs will be revealed at the show, the sources said.

A prototype will be shown off, with a release date not likely to arrive until as far away as 2012. Panasonic will likely ask for feedback on the camera from those in attendance at the show. EOSHD believes the camera will sport a native 2K sensor designed especially for video recording purposes in mind, unlike in the AF100. An improved LCD and EVF housed in a smaller body are likewise expected.
