Pioneer to ship thin Sound Wing speakers in Japan

Pioneer Japan on Thursday said it will soon ship its so-called Sound Wing home speakers. Based on the company's HVT (Horizontal-Vertical Transforming) technology, they are ultra-thin at 100mm and minimize vibrations. Quality is not sacrificed, the company claims.

Each speaker weighs 430 grams and offers 100W of maximum output. Other specifications include an 8 Ohm impedance and 160Hz-32kHz frequency response.

Pioneer will ship the speakers in Japan in June, priced at the equivalent of $507. [via CrunchGear]
