HTC Desire S arrives in Germany

The HTC Desire S introduced in mid-February is now available for purchase through Amazon Germany. It can be purchased contract-free for 460 Euros, which equates to $650, and includes local taxes. The handset ships with Android 2.3 preloaded.

The phone has front and rear cameras, with the five-megapixel rear unit capable of recording 720p videos. There is a 3.7-inch touchscreen and an all aluminum body. RAM is now at 768MB, and an 8GB microSD memory card is included. A 1,450mAh powers the handset.

The UK won't get the handset until April 18 and a US release date isn't yet known.
