Office Depot offers PlayBook preorders

Office Depot on Tuesday became the next in the retail chain to offer the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet for pre-order. The device will ship on April 19 through to the 21, likely depending on the store location. All three Wi-Fi models will be available, including the $500 16GB model, the $600 32GB model, and the $700 64GB model.

The tablet was also confirmed as coming to Best Buy, Staples, Radio Shack and various carriers last week for the same prices.

The seven-inch tablet has a 1024x600 capacitive touchscreen and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM that give it support for true multitasking. Adobe Flash 10.1 also works in the browser. The device has dual 1080p cameras and an HDMI output. Bluetooth 2.1 is built in, as are stereo speakers not often seen on tablets.
