T-Mobile Sidekick 4G may ship April 20

Radio Shack may have inadvertently given away T-Mobile's release timing for the Sidekick 4G through a Twitter update. The company said it would have the Android slider on April 20. While unconfirmed by T-Mobile itself, it would be consistent with rumors of device launches the same day.

The Sidekick 4G is already known to cost $100 on a contract and will have more in common with the Samsung Galaxy S than the Sharp-designed models from before Microsoft took over Danger. It still has the sliding display and jump key combos from the Sidekick but puts these into a new Android 2.2 interface with custom touches for Sidekick veterans.

Inside, it's similar to the Galaxy S 4G and has the same 1GHz Hummingbird chip, rear five-megapixel camera, and 21Mbps HSPA+ 3G.
