Chinese maker K-Touch outs high-end Android phone
Chinese phone maker K-Touch has just shown off a new smartphone meant for the local market. The W700 is unusual in coming from a relatively unknown company but packing a high-end NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and 512MB of RAM. Android 2.2 is preloaded, leaving about 8GB of built-in storage space.
The design revolves around a 3.8-inch, 480x800 touchscreen and a relatively upscale metal case. A five-megapixel camera that can record 720p videos is present along with a front VGA camera for video chat. Also onboard are GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-FI, along with FM radio. Storage space can be expanded thanks to a microSD card slot.
The W700 arrives at China Unicom mid-month, priced at about 3,500 Chinese Yuan ($535). [via iTechNews]
