Benchmark tests of Droid X 2 reveal Tegra 2, more
The upcoming Droid X 2 gained supporting evidence that it would use NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra 2 chip, according to new benchmarks at NenaMark. The page also reveals key giveaways as to the phone's profile, including its 540x960 display and its ultimate Verizon destination.
The tested phone also ran on Android 2.2, but it's more than likely that the production version will run on Android 2.3. The benchmark score of 53.60 puts the Droid X 2 as the tenth fastest device, with the likes of the LG Optimus 2X, Nexus S, and Samsung Galaxy S still beating it out. Optimization may play an important part.
Other known specs not mentioned in the tests include an eight-megapixel camera, 1GB of RAM, integrated FM player, and DLNA media sharing.
The Droid X 2 is expected to ship in May, though this hasn't been confirmed. [via PocketNow]
