BlackBerry Orlando leaked, Bold Touch gets specs
An image of a new BlackBerry handset, codenamed Orlando, has now surfaced on the web, thanks to N4BB. It will combine a fixed design with a hardware QWERTY keyboard with a touchscreen and bears a striking resemblance to the Sedona, the next Curve; it doesn't appear to be identical, however. It's likely to ship with OS 6.1 when it does arrive at an undisclosed date.
The same source also showed off a number of spec sheets for the the BlackBerry 9900 Dakota. It's now known to be powered by the 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8655. There is also 768MB of RAM onboard, along with 8GB of built-in storage, expandable by up to 32GB thanks to a microSD memory card. The 2.8-inch touchscreen has a 640x480 resolution and there is a a 5GHz 802.11n Wi-Fi radio. The five-megapixel camera will shoot 720p video and geotag images.
When this handset arrives in stores remains to be seen, but it could be as soon as June.
