New dual-mode Dell notebook, 15-inch
A new dual-mode Dell notebook has turned up during the FCC approval process. In the FCC filing, it is listed as the ‘Dell Panerai’, and as incorporating a ‘tablet mode’ and a ‘laptop mode.’ The description makes it likely that it will be similar in design and function to Dell’s Inspiron Duo 10.1-inch dual-mode netbook. At this early stage, the main point of difference is that new convertible notebook will center on a much larger 15-inch display.
What else can be confirmed is that it arrived at the FCC for testing on its Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n radio and Intel Centrino chipset. It was also tested for its SARS compliance and passed this and all other tests.
Few other details are known about the device at this stage. [via Wireless Goodness]
