HP shows off Citrix Receiver app on TouchPad

HP's upcoming TouchPad tablet has been given some more information regarding its compatibility with Citrix Receiver. The video below, about halfway through, shows off how the enterprise-friendly software works on the webOS tablet. The program opens in the browser and then lets users access desktop apps much like its iPad equivalent.

A cloud server handles all processing duties, so none of the task is done locally. The video demo shows AutoCAD running a 3D model inside Citrix. The frame rate is poor, but the demo is of an early build and likely has room for improvement. [via PreCentral]
