Carrier sells 8GB card for $32

AT&T is reportedly stocking its retail locations with "Windows Phone 7 certified" microSD cards, which are presumably designed to overcome compatibility issues that have plagued many handsets based on Microsoft's mobile platform. An image posted on Engadget shows packaging for an 8GB WP7 card carrying a $32 price tag.

The carrier late last year announced that it would release memory cards geared specifically for the Samsung Focus and other Windows Phone 7 devices, though the company never provided a launch time-frame. Users had complained of erased data and slow performance, while pairing a microSD card to the phone sometimes prevented the card from being used with other devices.

AT&T is expected to begin selling the certified cards sometime in the near future.
