Casio Tryx now at Best Buy in black and white

Casio's Tryx camera introduced at CES is now shipping to Best Buy stores in the US. While the camera is available in black and white, the white version is exclusive to Best Buy. Either color of the 12.1-megapixel camera is priced at $250.

The device has a flip-out and twisting frame that doubles as a handle, hanger, and stand to help users catch photos and videos. It can record 1080p video at 30fps and sports a 3-inch LCD touchscreen. Its ISO tops out at an average 3,200 for low-light shooting and hits 240FPS in a low resolution burst shooting mode for action shots. There is just 34.8MB of internal memory, but a slot supports up to SDXC cards.

    Pretty cool

This camera has a lot going for it until you realise that it only has 1x optical zoom. For me, at least, that's a huge fail -- since it means I have to be right up IN whatever I'm videotaping or shooting to get a good picture.

If you don't need zoom or dSLR quality, this is certainly an interesting option.
