ATT NoDo update for Windows Phone 7 now live
AT&T on Tuesday started pushing out its anticipated NoDo update for two of its three phones. Both the LG Quantum and the Samsung Focus both get the promised copy-and-paste text, faster app support, and improved Windows Phone Marketplace access. The update brings two surprises specific to AT&T users, who get support AT&T Address Book cloud syncing and WISPr to automatically connect to AT&T's Wi-Fi hotspots without a sign-in.
The HTC Surround has special code that prevents it from getting NoDo at the same time but should get its upgrade in mid-May. AT&T's more recently announced HTC HD7s should already come with NoDo preloaded when it ships.
AT&T is the last known major carrier to get the patch and from the outset was the last to finish testing. Microsoft acknowledged that it had taken extra time to upgrade after discovering differences between production and prototype hardware, but it also hinted at carrier obstacles through testing delay.
