HBO Go app dated for iPad, iPhone, Android

A new YouTube video (below) has teased a new app for portable devices that will bring HBO programming to subscribers for free. Called HBO Go, the app is due to go live May 2 and shares its name with the streaming service that went live in mid-February. HBO promises access to the latest TV shows and movies.

The service would be unlimited and instant, the commercial promises. Any season and episode of any TV show on HBO would be accessible as well, making it relatively far-reaching. The ad also makes mention of more, but exactly what else it can offer isn't known.

HBO's service requires an existing subscription with a cable or satellite TV provider that has HBO Go.
