BlackBerry Curve Touch to show at BlackBerry World

RIM's first budget touchscreen phone, the BlackBerry Curve Touch, received extra details in a leak Wednesday morning. The GSM version of the phone is now believed by a BGR source to be arriving at the BlackBerry World Expo at the start of May. It would ship in June or July and has supposedly been spotted with T-Mobile branding, though the US carrier wasn't called out by name.

The Curve Touch is expected to be smaller than the conventional Curve redesign but use a 3.25-inch touchscreen roughly the same size as on the Storm or Torch. While it might share the 480x360 resolution of the older phones to trim the price versus the higher end Bold Touch, it should get a much faster 800MHz processor and multi-touch through BlackBerry 6.1.

BlackBerry World this year could be one of the largest phone releases in RIM's history with at least the Bold Touch and Curve Touch set to show. The Torch 2 and other phones could also appear.
