PlayBook to get Mac sync support in summer

RIM has responded to a query as to when the BlackBerry PlayBook will get support for Desktop Manager on Macs. A spokesman told CrackBerry that an update would come "this summer." Buyers who have the tablet currently get nothing with a connection as the device isn't recognized, even when set to a Mac-friendly mode.

The PlayBook can be used as a network drive, however, as one connected with a microUSB cable will start the driver installation process. Users can then drag and drop files such as photos, movies, documents and other files. Files can also be transferred over Wi-Fi.

RIM has usually been Windows-centric through its tight connection to the enterprise but has branched out to sync media through its own native app.

    FAIL

They probably confused with all the Mac bloggers getting one (then returning it in 2 weeks) just to make fun of it with a real user base.
