Droid Incredible 2 gets early unboxing by Wirefly

A video unboxing (since pulled) of the upcoming HTC Droid Incredible 2 smartphone reveals some finalized specs of the phone. Online electronics retailer Wirefly learned that the device will launch at Verizon on April 28, though Verizon itself hasn't yet officially confirmed this. The handset is in many ways similar to the existing Incredible S we reviewed but with dual-mode CDMA and GSM for use outside of the US.

The video review proved the global roaming support thanks to a SIM card and will not support Verizon's high-speed LTE network. Customers will also have the ability to pre-order the phone from Wirefly later on Thursday.

The Droid Incredible 2 is expected to cost $200 with a new two-year contract on Verizon. Android 2.2 will be preloaded, but an upgrade to Android 2.3 is likely to arrive fairly soon this year. [via UnwiredView]
