HTC Thunderbolt on special for new 2-year plans

Amazon has listed the HTC Thunderbolt for $130 for this weekend only. The deal applies to new subscribers to Verizon’s network who purchase the device by midnight Pacific Time this Monday and opt for a 2-year plan. The phone is currently retailing on Verizon’s own website at $250 for new customers signing up to a similar plan. This represents a saving of $120 for the recently released 4G-capable mobile phone.

The HTC Thunderbolt 4G is essentially an adaption of the HTC Desire HD for Verizon’s 4G LTE network. It incorporates a 4.3-inch display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel rear camera and includes a front facing camera for video chats. Although a CDMA phone, it supports simultaneous calls and 3G data.
