Best Buy shows white iPhone 4 in stock April 27
An inventory discovery Saturday has helped confirm Apple's plans to launch the white iPhone 4 next week. Best Buy's inventory system showed at least the AT&T, 16GB model being in stock on April 27. The 9to5 tipster didn't know which other versions would be coming, but the Verizon inventory system has also shown the different hue on its way.
Rumors had more and more been pointing to a launch late in April, but until the past few days hadn't been specific. Vodafone UK virtually cemented the schedule after it sold a white iPhone 4 early and told retail staff not to sell any more until next week. The version it provided had only a slight cosmetic difference around the proximity sensor area to signal that it had been produced much more recently.
The phone isn't poised to significantly boost Apple's sales but has seen attention built up simply through Apple's refusal to give up on its plans after numerous delays relating to paint issues. An anticipated September iPhone 5 launch has helped its prospects by giving the color an extra three months on store shelves before it's replaced.

Seriously! The iPhone 4 has been around for almost a year. We are getting ready for the iPhone 5 to come out. And somehow we are supposed to care (at least a tiny little bit) that they are releasing a white one?
