Best Buy shows white iPhone 4 for both carriers

One more source on Monday night has helped back suspicions that the white iPhone 4 would reach Best Buy on April 27. The inventory system shows both AT&T and Verizon models in either capacity by using placeholder names such as "BBY63LD" but putting them in the "iPhone hardware" category. BGR lacked pricing, though it's broadly assumed the color won't change the pricing.

The much-hyped phone is expected to be only slightly different than what was shown in June 2010 and has a slightly different proximity sensor. Apple is mostly assumed to be launching the model just to fulfill promises it has been making last year and to get a mild burst of extra sales while it waits for the next iPhone in September.

Whether or not every iPhone reseller will get the white model is still a mystery. Apple, Best Buy, and carrier stores have been the only ones clearly identified and could leave Radio Shack, Target, and Walmart out of the loop for the initial run. While they may just not have leaks, Best Buy is known for white phone exclusives that could make it the only third-party retailer option.
