HTC Incredible S gets Android 2.3 early in Italy

Company delivers on upgrade promise early
Italian users of the HTC Incredible S will get a pleasant surprise this week: an over-the-air update to Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread). HTC had promised an OS upgrade for the Incredible S by the second quarter of 2011. The OTA update for Italian users would seem to indicate that a worldwide rollout is imminent.
Earlier this year, HTC shipped the nearly-identical Incredible 2 with Gingerbread factory installed. [via Engadget]
