Walmart now offering customizable iBuyPower PCs

Gaming PC maker iBuyPower has entered into a deal with Walmart that will let users build custom PCs from the superstore chain's online store. While there are just five processor choices and five cases on offer, the choice of three hard drives and three RAM options as well as eight different graphics cards means there are more than 10,000 system permutations available. The two Intel chips include a 3.3GHz Core i5 and 3.4GHz Core i7, while AMD's offerings include a 3.1GHz Athlon or either a 3.2GHz or 3.0GHz Phenom II.

Cases on offer include the NZXT Apollo, Gamma, Black Phantom, Guardian or Antec DF-35. Either 2GB, 4GB or 8GB of RAM can be specified, while 500GB, 1TB and 2TB hard drives are offered as well, all 7,200RPM units.

Graphics card range from the 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT430 to the 1530MB GeForce GTX480, with seven others inbetween. Three optical drives are offered, including a DVD/Blu-ray combo and a Blu-ray burner. Three different variations of Windows 7 OS are available as well. Monitors are extra.

The new customizable systems start at $578.
