IOGEAR announces Universal Wi-Fi N adapter

Connects Ethernet-enabled devices to Internet


IOGEAR today announced the GWU627 Universal WiFi Adapter. The company claims that the adapter is truly "universal", connecting any vendor's device with an Ethernet port, such as a Blu-ray player, game console or LCD/LED TV to the Internet via a local network router.

The GWU627 acts as a bridge, allowing attached devices to stream music, videos, and games without the clutter of cabling or wires.

The 802.11n compliant adapter comes with dual 1T1R antennas and a data transfer rates of up to 150Mbps. It is backwards compatible with 802.11b/g networks. It has WPS capability which provides quick set-up and secure networking.

The GWU627 is available now and retails for $50.
