Dell intros Precision M4600 and M6600, May 10

The new Dell Precision mobile workstations, the M4600 and M6600, have been quietly dated and priced. The notebooks which had their specs recently leaked, will arrive May 10, with the 15.6-inch M4600 priced from $1,678 while the 17.3-inch M6600 is priced from $2,158. Both will run a choice of Intel’s second-generation Core i5 and Core i7 processors.

Befitting of their mobile workstation moniker, the devices are capable of being fitted with up to 32GB of RAM and 750GB hard drives. Solid state drives are also an option with a 256GB available as a build-to-order fitment. The 15.6-inch M4600 will have the choice of a 1GB AMD FirePro GPU or a 2GB NVIDIA Quadro 2000M. The M6600 has a few options starting with a 2GB AMD FirePro GPU through to an 4GB NVIDIA Quadro 5010M.

Both systems have two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and one each of an eSATA and FireWire ports. [via PC World]
