HTC Flyer nears release thanks to FCC approval

The upcoming 7-inch HTC Flyer tablet has just shown up undergoing testing by the FCC. The device is due to arrive in Best Buy in the same Wi-Fi configuration as is being tested here. It also appears to have Bluetooth onboard, but as expected lacks a 3G radio.

The device has gone up for pre-order on Best Buy for $499 this past Sunday, though ship dates weren't revealed other than spring. It centers on a 1024x600 resolution touchscreen with both multi-touch and pen support, an aluminum body, a 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor and Android 2.3 preloaded with Sense 3.0.
