Hulu Plus for Xbox 360 hits April 29 with promo

Microsoft quickly confirmed the rumors that Hulu Plus for the Xbox 360 was going live on April 29. Gamers will have access to the subscription TV service for its usual $8 per month but will also get the first week of viewing for free in a promo. Anyone in the US will have access until May 6, even if they have a Silver Xbox Live account and without having to sign up for Hulu.

The service gives access to the entire Hulu catalog of shows, including in HD where it's an option. Shows are still believed to have ads but are integrated directly into the Xbox 360's Dashboard instead of having a completely separate, custom interface.

Hulu Plus won't be available on Xboxes outside of the US but is limited mostly by a lack of international rights rather than Microsoft.
