Verizon guide still shows BlackBerry PlayBook, HTC Trophy

Verizon guide details Trophy and PlayBook

A publicly posted online guide from Verizon has shown at least two devices talked about for its network but so far never confirmed or even put into doubt. The BlackBerry PlayBook has shown up in its Wi-Fi form with a "coming soon" badge. Its mention is unusual given Verizon's sudden indecisiveness on the tablet in April even after RIM promised a Verizon model in March.

Also appearing is the on-again, off-again HTC Trophy. The listing makes no mention of the often talked about dual-mode CDMA/GSM world roaming, but it does back earlier sightings that showed Slacker Radio installed along with a Verizon account app. HTC's Windows Phone 7 hardware is still expected to keep the 1GHz Snapdragon, five-megapixel camera, and either 8GB or 16GB of storage. It too shows just "coming soon" for a release date.

Once again, the LG Revolution's Netflix support is also mentioned in its device listing. Most others, such as the HP dm1 and Compaq CQ10, were already shown at CES in January and didn't get any added insight.

The guide is labeled "2011 winter" and appears in some ways to be out of date, since it marks the just shipping Droid Incredible 2 as unreleased but curiously treats the slightly delayed Droid Charge and LG Revolution as having already been released. It may be that the guide was drafted weeks ago and had very different assumptions about what would ship. [via Engadget]
