HTC Trophy finally seeing Verizon May 5
Verizon's long-delayed version of the HTC Trophy could finally show this week. A rumor Monday has the Windows Phone 7 flagship shipping on May 5. The tip to WinRumors didn't give out a price or explain the reason for a delay past the April 15 date pegged in a recent, known accurate Verizon roadmap.
The hardware is similar in most ways to the original and brings a 3.8-inch 480x800 screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon chip, and a five-megapixel camera. Verizon's edition may have dual-mode CDMA and GSM but is known to be shipping with Microsoft's NoDo update for copy-and-paste text among other upgrades. Software changes will be very light but should bring Slacker Radio and a My Verizon Mobile account app.
Its hardware is the first WP7 device on the network and will have followed a month and a half after the first CDMA WP7 device, the HTC Arrive for Sprint.
