PQI intros thinnest USB 3.0 flash drive

Taiwan's PQI Group announced the smallest USB 3.0 flash drive in the industry this week with the Intelligent Drive U819V. The metal storage about an inch long, half an inch wide and a quarter of an inch thick. It will soon be available in brushed aluminum, glossy white, or black.

An LED shows data flow status, and the cap is attached with a rubber leash of sorts. Prices or ship dates haven't been revealed, but the flash disk will be available in capacities ranging from 4GB to 32GB.

USB 3.0 offers transfer speeds that are theoretically up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0, or about 5Gbps.
