Verizon HTC Trophy seen in first press images

Verizon's edition of the HTC Trophy has popped up in leaked press photos for the first time. The shots confirm its cosmetic similarity as well as the apps Verizon plans to preload, including Slacker Radio and My Verizon Mobile. PocketNow got little new information, though the official shots virtually confirm the Windows Phone 7 hardware is getting close.

Its version should be similar on the outside to the original GSM model with a 3.8-inch screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon, a five-megapixel camera and at least 8GB of storage. The new Trophy should be the first dual-mode WP7 phone and carry both CDMA and GSM to roam outside of the US.

Verizon may deliberately overshadow the Trophy launch much as it did the BlackBerry Storm2 by announcing it the same time as other, much higher-profile phones with a possible May 12 phone blitz that should include the LG Revolution and Motorola Droid X 2.
