Droid Charge said to go on sale on May 14

The Samsung Droid Charge will go back on sale in Verizon stores on May 14 after a two-week delay, Droid-Life reported. Sales staff were reportedly being told to don Charge-themed t-shirts for their shifts this weekend. Verizon has since officially confirmed this rumor, with online sales starting on the evening of Friday, May 13. The reasons for the delay remain unknown, however, but are believed to stem from Verizon's temporary 4G network outage.

The Charge is an LTE-capable phone. It gets a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, a rear-facing eight-megapixel camera and a front 1.3-megapixel camera. It contains a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and comes with Android 2.2. There is a built-in hotspot feature with support for sharing its data connection with up to 10 other devices. The phone is expected to carry a high $300 on-contract sticker price.
