Genius ships Ring Mouse for Windows computers

Genius has released its Ring Mouse in North America on Friday. The device is worn on a finger, like a ring, and allows for wireless control of presentations, web browsing, photo viewing and more. It uses a 2.4GHz wireless radio for communication and has touch-control technology for scrolling, with movement sensitivity of up to 1,000DPI.

The range is 33 feet and the mouse requires a Pico USB receiver. The built-in lithium ion battery is rechargeable and the Ring Mouse comes with a portable USB charger. A hard carrying case is also included.

Also bundled is ioMedia software for multimedia playback controls that can also be used with Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, and Adobe Reader.

The mouse is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, and XP and is now shipping for $70.
