Details corroborate earlier leak

Kineto Wireless, a company that provides Wi-Fi calling technology, has reportedly confirmed that T-Mobile plans to offer free Wi-Fi calling to many of its subscribers. The information corroborates a recent leak suggesting that T-Mobile will no longer deduct Wi-Fi calling from the voice minutes included in the company's wireless plans.

The feature is currently limited to select Android-based handsets that arrive with the Smart Wi-Fi app pre-installed. Customers with Even More and Even More Plus postpaid plans are expected to be able to take advantage of the new feature starting today.

Aside from the changes to Wi-Fi calling terms, the previous leaks also suggest the company is preparing to expand its "Name ID" information with details such as names, cities, and states for callers that are not yet in a contacts list. [via GigaOM]
