HTC Trophy unveiled at last in Verizon garb

Confirming some of the earliest rumors of a long delay, Verizon on Thursday confirmed the launch of the HTC Trophy. Its first-ever Windows Phone 7 device expands on the international original by including both Verizon's native CDMA network support along with GSM for world roaming. Microsoft's focus on a clean experience keeps the bundled apps to Slacker Radio and a Verizon account app along with the HTC Hub mini-app portal.

Inside, the phone still has its 3.8-inch, 480x800 display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and five-megapixel camera with 720p video capture. Verizon's edition has 16GB of storage built-in, giving it the better of the two capacities HTC normally hands out. Windows Phone 7's NoDo update is already installed.

The relative age of the Trophy is keeping its price down to $150 on a contract. To avoid conflicts with the Droid X2, Revolution, and Xperia Play, Verizon is shipping HTC's phone a week later, on June 2.
