Lexar outs USB 3.0 dual-slot reader for pros

Lexar has just released the Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Reader that has dual card slots and supports UDMA CF, SDXC and SD UHS-I memory cards. It remains backwards compatible with older versions of those standards and gets a USB 3.0 connection for fast transfer speeds. The device is meant for both amateur and pro photographers or videographers who wish to minimize down time when transferring media.

The card reader snaps open like a clam to protect the open slots from debris. Users can transfer content between two inserted cards or to the computer. The reader's USB 3.0 interface is capable of 500MB per second transfer speeds. It has a five-year warranty.

The reader is now available online and will arrive in stores in June for $50.
