The HTC Evo 3D has been tentatively pegged to hit the Sprint network on June 4. The news comes courtesy of a leaked screenshot from an email sent to Sprint employees forwarded to XDA Developers. When it becomes available, it will be one of the first 3D smartphones to reach the US market.
Its auto-stereoscopic high-resolution 540x960, 4.3-inch display, can show 3D without glasses. It will feature a speedy dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB of RAM. It will ship loaded with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) customized with HTC’s Sense UI. It will incorporate a WiMAX radio.
The Evo 3D also features a 3D camera on the rear allowing users to shoot HD video in 3D at 720p. It can also shoot video in 1080p, but only in 2D. It is equipped only 4GB of memory, but it is expandable through its microSDHC slot.
