Fixes serious chat flaw, adds file manager menu

Chrome OS beta R12, intended for use on the first Chromebooks expected to be shipping next month, has been updated to version 12.0.433.48, adding several stability and functionality improvements over the previous release, which came out May 16th. The latest update, which is available now for CR-48 notebook owners, includes the latest Chrome beta (12.0.0742.60) as well as a fix for a bug that prevented the Chat window from opening, along with an updated Flash (v10.2.158.22) and other fixes.

The new version also improves the File Manager contextual menu, fixes a bug where the audio volume would get stuck, and updates default avatars and the guest icon. The previous update added a number of security fixes, as well as improvements to GSM support, Verizon activation, 3G and Wi-Fi connections, on-screen indicators and the addition of an auto-update engine.
