Hulu TV streaming active for TiVo DVRs

Hints this weekend from Best Buy became real Monday with the arrival of Hulu Plus on TiVo. The DVR now has access to much of the multi-studio streaming site's TV shows, including both recent content and archives. The interface is optimized for the larger screen but has "limited advertising."

Search is also tuned and drops the usual TiVo interface for a cleaner look.

The service works on any existing Premiere or Premiere XL box and should now be available on at least some of the set-tops without needing to prompt for an upgrade. A subscription costs the same $8 as anywhere else and should work on other platforms, including the web, iOS devices, and the Xbox 360.
