Bridge focuses on improving streaming experience

D-Link today announced the DAP-1513 Wireless N Dual Band MediaBridge. Supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz, the DAP-1513 can use whichever band is the most free of interference to keep media streaming smooth. The bridge also connects up to four network-ready 100Mbps Ethernet devices.

The DAP-1513 targets the home wireless network market. The 5GHz band is well suited for streaming traffic. The 2.4GHz band frequency is efficient for normal Web browsing. Integrated Quality of Service prioritization helps this bridge efficiently stream HD videos, play online games and share media.

The DAP-1513 features WPA and WPA2 security and can connect to other compatible D-Link devices at speeds up to 300MBper second over Wi-Fi. The DAP-1513 comes with a one-year warranty.

The MediaBridge is available now and sells for $120.
