HTC Trophy up for web sales, some regions out

The first Windows Phone 7 handset on Verizon's network, the HTC Trophy, has now arrived in the carrier's web store, though some regions, with New York specifically, are showing it as out of stock and it's otherwise unavailable for order. It is due to arrive in stores on June 2. Online, it costs $150 on a two-year contract and a $50 instant web rebate.

As a bonus, Verizon will give users an Xbox 360 game for free with the purchase of a Windows Phone device before July 15. They can choose from Halo: Reach, Kinect Sports and Lode Runner.

The shortages aren't likely due to the handset's popularity but may be due to logistical or website issues. It already had a bumpy road before release, with an original expected ship date of March, then mid April. It now ships with the NoDo update in place.

The phone sports a 3.8-inch screen with 480x800 resolution and a 1GHz Snapgradon CPU. There is a five-megapixel camera in the back with 720p video recording capability. There is also 16GB of storage space onboard, and the Slacker Radio and a Verizon account app are preloaded. [via WinRumors]
