Adapter said to retail for $129
Belkin appears to be preparing to launch its ScreenCast WiDi adapter, which has already appeared on the company's website. The device allows users to wirelessly stream Blu-ray movies, web-based content in HD quality, audio content such as Pandora, and other audio or video feeds from a supported notebook to an HDTV or other display.
Users can take advantage of video resolutions up to 1080p, along with multi-channel digital audio processed via Dolby 5.1. Connection options include an HDMI port or standard RCA cables for legacy systems.
The ScreenCast is currently listed as "coming soon" for $129, however Belkin has yet to publicly announce a release date. Like other similar equipment, users must have a WiDi-equipped Windows 7 computer with a Core i-series processor that supports Intel's Wireless Display technology. [via Engadget]
