HTC Sensation 4G dated for T-Mobile
T-Mobile on Tuesday night confirmed ship dates for the HTCSensation 4G. Its version of the Android 2.3 smartphone would reach carrier stores on June 15 and could be in Walmart stores as early as June 12. The device will come in at $200 on contract.
The Sensation 4G is close to the HTC original and shares its dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon chip, 4.3-inch 540x960 screen, and combination eight-megapixel rear and front 1.3-megapixel cameras. It can record as much as 1080p video and has both 4GB of storage built-in and an 8GB microSDHC card to help handle the extra video load. T-Mobile's version switches over to its native HSPA+ data.
Sprint is also getting the Sensation in the heavily modified Evo 3D. Apart from flipping to CDMA and WiMAX, it replaces the one rear camera with two five-megapixel cameras to record 720p 3D. A glasses-free 3D screen also gives it an edge versus its 2D counterpart in the rest of the world.
