Notebook boasts latest NVIDIA graphics tech

MSI has announced that it has begun shipping its GT683R notebook, featuring NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 560M discrete graphics processor. The new GPU offers 1.5GB of GDDR5 memory and 192 CUDA cores, which are capable of processing DirectX 11 content. Users can also take advantage of automatic switching between discrete and integrated graphics to help extend battery life.

Aside from the graphics capabilities, the notebook is based on Intel's second-generation Core i7 processor. Other standard features include dual SATA, two USB 3.0 ports, Dynaudio speakers, and an integrated subwoofer.

The GT683R is now available with a suggested retail price starting at $1600.
