WAV Collective puts Windows logo on Apple store
Apple faced an unusual form of guerilla pranking on Saturday after the .WAV Collective hit its upcoming Hamburg store (video below). Disguised as a construction crew, two of the group and a cameraperson screwed in a Windows logo on the side of the black facade hiding the store. It's not yet known if the logo is still on the store, but the team took care to make it easily removable.
So far, it's not believed the crew had any ideological motivation. The prank was also slightly ironic as Microsoft's own retail ambitions have so far been very modest, with no intentions in the near term of going outside the US.
Such stunts aren't common around in-progress Apple stores, for which even the construction is closely guarded. Crews are often trained to discourage photography until the store is ready, and most outdoor stores' black barriers are still kept mostly free of graffiti. [via iFun.de]
