HTC Inspire 4G ships in red

Radio Shack scored an exclusive on Sunday with sales of the red HTC Inspire 4G. The hue is rare on an HTC phone outside of Europe and comes attached to a heavy discount. The Android 2.2 phone is on sale for $30 on contract, or less than a third of the $100 asking price from AT&T itself.

Inside, the red phone is identical to the black model and shares the 4.3-inch display, 1GHz second-generation Snapdragon processor, and its namesake 14.4Mbps HSPA Internet link. HTC's phone, largely an Americanization of the Desire HD, also has an eight-megapixel rear camera and a front VGA camera for video chat apps.

It's not anticipated that AT&T will carry the new color in its own stores despite its regularly carrying red models from other companies.
