Design appears to be smaller than GF2
Panasonic appears to have briefly posted a promotional video for its upcoming GF3 camera ahead of schedule, though the segment was quickly pulled from YouTube. Several screenshots taken from the video show a compact design that may be smaller than the GF2. Helping to minimize dimensions, the new model eliminates a hot shoe from the camera body.
Unnamed sources have told 4/3 Rumors the GF3 transitions to mostly touchscreen-based input, rather than relying on physical buttons. Detailed specs remain unclear, though the camera is expected to integrate the same 16-megapixel sensor as the company's G3.
The GF3 is said to be ready for formal unveiling on June 13, alongside a new Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4 lens.
