Nyko puts out Kinect and 3DS extras for E3
Nyko helped kick off E3 by rolling out three accessories targeting the Kinect, the 3DS, and the PS3. Zoom for Kinect refocuses the camera controller on a closer distance for apartments and other areas where Microsoft's usual eight-foot requirement doesn't give enough space. The accessory maker claims 40 percent less distance and all the fidelity of using the Kinect by itself.
Owners of the 3DS get four accessories. Play Clock is a full-fledged speaker dock that charges Nintendo's system and can play game audio, with a line-in option for regular MP3 players. Portable audio comes through the Shock 'n Rock, a cradle case that adds four speakers but still triples the battery life. Game Boost is intended as a snap-on charging pack that adds one to two more hours of life, and the Power Grip isn't as elegant but gives three times the battery power and a more comfortable hold.
One PS3 add-on, the Charge Base 3, powers up two of Sony's Sixaxis or DualShock 3 gamepads with a vertical design and a magnetic attachment system.
Ship dates and prices weren't given out, but the mix is likely to be ready before the end of the year.
