Premier customers may buy Evo 3D online on June 21

Sprint announced today that the HTC Evo 3D and Evo View 4G tablet will be available beginning June 24. Rumors circlating late last week speculated that both the smartphone and the tablet would be available on that date. Sprint's Premier customers will have the chance to buy the Evo 3D online starting June 21.

The devices are milestones for Sprint. The Evo 3D is the first smartphone to have a glasses-free 3D display. The Evo View 4G will be the first 4G-capable (WiMAX) tablet available in the US market. Both devices will ship with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The Evo View 4G will be upgraded to Android 3.x when it is available for 7-inch screens.

The HTC Evo 3D will be priced at $200 with a two year contract for one of Sprint's Everything Data plans, plus a $10 Premium Data add-on charge. The calling plans include unlimited web, texting and calling to and from any mobile in America while on the Sprint Network. The Mobile Hot Spot feature, which supports up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices simultaneously, requires an additional charge.

The HTC Evo View 4G will retail for $400. Data plans for the tablet start at $35 per month for 3GB of 3G data and unlimited 4G data usage while on the Sprint network. Unlimited text, picture and video messaging are included at no charge. Additional charges apply for use of the GPS Navigation and Mobile Hot Spot features. For a limited time, Sprint is also giving buyers an HTC Scribe digital pen, originally developed for the HTC Flyer.
